It’s been over a year since Apple introduced it’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED special edition smartphones. Those were the first (PRODUCT RED) smartphones from Apple. And now, Apple has introduced the (PRODUCT) RED special edition for the iPhone 8 as well as the iPhone 8 Plus smartphones.
For those who don’t know, this new release is not just an introduction to a new colour. Instead, it is a result of collaboration between Apple and (PRODUCT)RED, which is an organization that campaigns to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. While the exact number is unknown, a small portion of every purchase goes to this organisation.
You will be amazed to know that Apple has donated more than $160 million to this Global Fund since 2006 for the fight against AIDS.
