APPS LIKE CHROME ARE FREEZING
It has been frequently reported that apps Chrome, Cortana, Office Apps, etc. are freezing in the middle of usage and can only be reused by killing it first. So if you want to unfreeze these apps without a restart then try the following solutions:
- Try a Windows key sequence to wake the screen and simultaneously press Winkey + Ctrl + Shift +B.
- If you are using a laptop, just close and open the lid of the laptop.
- If you are using a tablet, press the volume up and down button together for 3 times in 2 seconds. If this works, you will hear a beep sound and the screen will blink and Windows will refresh the screen.
NEW PARTITION AFTER INSTALLING THE UPDATE
Even after cleaning your system and claiming the disk space back, users are having issues with missing space after the update. The update has somehow created a new extra recovery partition and One partition is named as OEM Partition even if you don’t have an OEM license key. You can easily get rid of this recovery partition using partition tool or command line options ‘Diskpart’, even though it is not recommended to remove it. Remember to back up your system before doing so. After this, the partition will be removed but still occupy space.
NOTE: Microsoft is currently working on a cumulative update to address this issue.
